Connect to your Bliss: The Power of Choice - Breaking Free From Fear and Living Authentically


Ever find yourself overwhelmed by fears, doubts, and endless "what ifs"? We tend to overthink, procrastinate, and avoid the things we say we’ll do, all because our brain is wired for protection. But here's the truth: most of our fears are not real threats. We're not running from lions, unless you're trapped at the zoo! So why do we let our shadows—our deepest fears—control us? This blog explores the power of choice, self-awareness, and intentional living.


There was a time in my life when I was caught in a cycle of overthinking and fear. I was procrastinating on everything important to me, convincing myself it was just life being too complicated. The truth? It was me. I was afraid to face my own shadows, scared to trust myself. And in that fear, I would make excuses, eating garbage food, making poor decisions, and calling it "life."

One day, I had an epiphany. Life is filled with things we can't control, but we can control how we respond to them. Instead of letting the fear consume me, I decided to stay present and choose myself first. Every single day, I committed to building that trust within myself, asking questions like: Who am I? What do I really want? And what actions will support the person I’m becoming?

This was when I realized the immense power of choice. The more I explored who I truly was, the more I saw the world for what it is—messy, unpredictable, and sometimes downright confusing. But I was no longer separate from the chaos. I understood that I was at the center of everything happening in my life.


The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that life isn’t happening to us—it's happening through us. Everything we experience is a reflection of our inner state. And the best part? We always have the power to choose.

  • Be present: Life is happening now, not in the future "what ifs" we obsess over. Choosing presence gives you control over how you respond to life.

  • Know yourself: Who are you, really? What do you want? And most importantly, are you acting in alignment with that?

  • Patterns or alignment: Are you stuck in a cycle that’s holding you back, or are you truly in alignment with the life you desire?

  • Love vs. fear: Understand that love and fear are two sides of the same coin. What we often see as negativity or failure is just love in disguise, inviting us to grow.


Here’s how you can start taking control of your life:

  1. Start with awareness: Notice when you’re operating from fear instead of love. Ask yourself if you’re in alignment with who you truly want to be.

  2. Give back to yourself first: Make yourself a priority. Every day, choose actions that support your well-being.

  3. Embrace surrender: True control comes when you let go. Stop forcing things to fit where they don't belong, and instead, allow life to unfold.

  4. Communicate your needs: Speak up about your wants and desires—to yourself, your friends, your partner, and your colleagues. How you do one thing is how you do everything.

  5. Trust the journey: Remember, love is always present, even in fear or misunderstanding. It’s all energy moving you toward growth.


By now I hope you realize that you deserve better!!!You deserve to feel alive, connected, and confident in every area of your life. So, what’s holding you back? Today, make a choice to surrender, trust yourself, and communicate what you really want. It’s time to take control by letting go and learning to receive.
