Welcome back, my beloved Bliss seekers! This week I’m diving deep into the core of everything—why we do what we do, why this blog exists, and why finding your “why” is the key to living a life full of passion, play, pleasure, and purpose. We often let external circumstances dictate our actions, but today, I’m challenging you to flip the script and look within. Everything you need is already inside of you, and I’m here to help you unlock that potential.
The foundation of everything I do—this blog, my wellness business, and my intimacy coaching—is rooted in love. Love is all there is; we are either coming from it or crying out for it. This belief isn’t just a tagline for me; it’s the stake I’ve planted in the ground, the truth I stand by. It’s also deeply personal, as I was born on Valentine’s Day. Though the holiday is often seen as a Hallmark event, it has made me ponder the meaning of love throughout my life.
For years, I grappled with the idea that love was conditional. If someone did something for me, it meant they loved me; if they didn’t, it meant the opposite. But that’s far from the truth. True love, the love that comes from within, isn’t about what others do or don’t do. It’s about knowing that everything we need—love, purpose, fulfillment—already exists inside us.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve lived through people-pleasing, perfectionism, depression, suicidal thoughts, and the loss of my home, partner, and job—all in the same month. But these experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of communication, self-expression, and authenticity. I’ve learned that the most critical work we can do is internal. It’s about transforming our mindset from shame to worthiness, from fear to love.
Shame is the lowest vibrational energy we can emit, and it often feels like a slow death. But it’s important to remember that shame was taught to us to keep us small, to prevent us from fully expressing our power. Women, in particular, have been subjected to this for centuries. But when we embrace our true selves—our femininity, our sexual energy, our individuality—we tap into a power that is unstoppable.
This is where Tantra and sacred intimacy come into play in my teachings. These practices aren’t about following a set of rigid rules but about exploring who you are at your core and expressing that authentically in all areas of your life. It’s about shedding the judgments, the victimhood, and the limiting beliefs that have been imposed on us and stepping into your full power.
I’ve experienced a lifetime of challenges, from losing my father at 12 to my mother battling Crohn’s disease and my sister being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Dance was my therapy, my escape, and eventually, my way of connecting with myself. But even as I found solace in movement, I still struggled with the belief that everyone else’s happiness was my responsibility. This belief kept me from fully expressing myself, from living the life I was meant to live.
But through therapy, Tantra, and a relentless pursuit of self-discovery, I began to shed those limiting beliefs. I realized that life isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience. There isn’t a single path to happiness or fulfillment. Your purpose will evolve over time, just as mine has. What matters most is that you find your why and let it guide you.
Just the tips:
Identify Your Why: Take time to reflect on what drives you. What are you passionate about? What brings you joy? Your why doesn’t have to be grand or world-changing; it just has to be true to you.
Embrace Your Authentic Self: Let go of the need to please others or conform to societal expectations. Your unique qualities are what make you powerful.
Communicate Your Needs: Don’t be afraid to express what you need, want, and desire without shame or guilt. Healthy communication is the foundation of any fulfilling relationship.
Release Shame: Understand that shame is a learned behavior meant to keep you small. Consciously work to replace shame with self-worth and love.
Explore Sacred Intimacy: Consider incorporating practices like Tantra into your life to connect more deeply with yourself and others. These practices are about discovering who you are at your core and expressing that in every aspect of your life.
As we embark on this journey together, remember that you are not alone. I’m here with you every step of the way, helping you navigate the twists and turns of life. The next 90 days are about healing—mind, body, soul, and emotions—and coming full circle with who you truly are. So, what is your why? Why are you here? What is your purpose? Once you find that, run with it. Don’t fear it, embrace it. Your purpose is the key to unlocking a life filled with passion, play, pleasure, and purpose.
